Can't believe I'm in here looking at IM posts again. As a matter of interest has anyone entered IM Copenhagen 2014? Or IM France?

Starting to think Barcelona maybe too late in the year, this could be a possible alternative.
Also has a half distance on the same day.

Challenge UK announced today that their new location is Weymouth on Sept 14th. What do ye think any takers?

This is Shane's neck of the woods and he said it's a lovely part of the world, he would say that.

I and a couple more are thinking strongly about it and whatever about the race the accommodation seems to be booking out. I suppose we could all stay in Shanes house ;)

Well All, definitely entering Challenge UK! Opens 9.30 this morning. The course should be fairly flat and fast, the swim is in the bay 90% of the time flat as a pancake, the bike will have one hill as you leave the town, if the cycle goes towards Bournemouth on the main road then this is fairly flat and a good surface! The run is around the town and along the sea front, also flat as a pancake! Obviously the course hasn't been finalised but looks good! As Weymouth is a seaside town there is hundreds of B&Bs, Hotels, self catering apt., mobile home parks and campsites! If your single or have a family there is entertainment for everyone!!!!

Hi Andrew, I know a few of the Carrick lads did IM Wales I know the really enjoyed it and was easy to get too. But they all said that it was a hard and hilly course! But then all IM distant races are tough for one reason or another!
